
We’d love you to take part in our CINEBALU Screenings! Do you live in South-East Asia? Have you made a new film since 23 September 2021? Short or long? Funny or sad? A documentary or narrative, an animation or an experimental film? Then you can submit it to the KKIFF through FilmFreeway.

Submission Guidelines
- Submissions can be made by citizens and residents of ASEAN countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam), Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
- The submission charge on FilmFreeway is US$8.00.
- All genres are eligible for submission.
- Shorts and feature-length films are eligible.
- Screeners/preview copies for both shorts and feature-length films can be submitted.
- Multiple submissions are welcome.
- The film can be in any language – but English subtitles are required.
- Submissions must have been completed on or after 23 September 2021.
- Copyright for all music and videos used must be owned by the filmmaker. By submitting your film to the KKIFF2023, you agree that the KKIFF2023 will not be held liable for any copyright infringements perpetrated by you or your film.
- KKIFF reserves the right to use stills and/or short clips of films submitted to CINEBALU for the purposes of marketing and promotion.
- Submissions must be received on or before: 15 May 2023.
- Festival screening format is DCP, Blu-Ray or DVD.
