Dear film lovers, friends & fiends:
The Roughcut film symposium has been announced ahead of the Tropfest SEE 2014 film festival! Roughcut, on 28 June, will run as part of the George Town Festival programming in Penang, Malaysia.
Sharing the stage with Christopher Doyle at Roughcut is Michael Laverty (Managing Director, Tropfest International), Banjong Pisanthanakun (director and writer of ‘Shutter’, ‘Hello Stranger’), Sheron Dayoc (‘Halaw – Ways of the Sea’) and Herman Van Eyken (head of Griffith Film School and curator of ‘10 Lessons in Film’), and Azharr Rudin (‘This Longing’, ‘The Boatbuilders of Mermaid Island’). See schedule for 28 & 29 June
Sideline events to Roughcut are short film screenings by Viddsee.com and a selection of Tropfest’s winning entries across all regions. Tropfest SEA will also screen one of the nine interviews with WU TIAN MING from 10 Lessons in Film (more about the project) and a sharing session curator Herman van Eyken (See Facebook event), on the next day.

Do share this information with your networks & friends.
See you there! 🙂
