Here are some facts of the Sabah Film Lab:
- It is an 8-day immersive filmmaking course happening in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia with training from top mentors and industry experts from Malaysia, New Zealand, Japan, and Ireland.
- This is a fully-funded programme worth RM10,000 per person.
- Interested applicants only have to a pay non-refundable fee of RM200 to be eligible for SFL, but only 24 applicants will be selected to be part of it.
- Successful participants will get:
- 8-day in-person filmmaking training and mentorship
- 9D7N accommodation in Kota Kinabalu during the programme
- Full access to filming equipment and editing softwares through the programme
- Free entry to CINEBALU screenings and fringe events/programme during festival week
