Announcement: New category added to Pink10 Filmmakers’ Competition!

With the new collaboration with Sabah Tourism Board, we at KKIFF are excited to announce a brand new category in the Pink10 Filmmakers’ Competition called Explore Sabah! This is in addition to the usual three categories of Narrative, Documentary and Indigenous Language.

Here are some differences between Explore Sabah category and the other three categories:

The length of short films submitted under the Explore Sabah category must be a maximum of 3 minutes only – including introduction and credits.
Winner will also receive a Golden Kinabalu Award, together with RM3,000
Additional: The winning video will be part of Sabah Tourism Board’s advertising campaign in 2025!

Other rules of Pink10 applies to this category as well, including submissions from filmmakers based in ASEAN countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam), South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
