Awards Night was held on 10 August at the Hilton Kota Kinabalu. As usual, it was a night full of laughter and energy and joy.
But who were the winners?
Thirteen participants took part in the 2-day training course, learning how to prepare their pitches before they go and start looking for funding for their new film projects. The participants were from Indonesia, West Malaysia and Sabah.
After a day and a half to prepare their pitches, the eager young filmmakers actually make a pitch to a panel. This year, the panellists were: Kok Siew Wai, Gabrielle Kelly, Al Jafree Md Yusop and Nova Goh.

There were 4 teams in this year’s Sabah Film Lab, 2 for documentary and 2 for narrative. Altogether there were 21 participants, including 4 students from Geomatika College Keningau.
