KKIFF 2013 think5 – Filmmakers’ Competition & Highlight Screening

Rules & Guidelines

This competition is open to Malaysian citizens and residents in Malaysia.
It is free to enter this competition.
Storyline – the theme for the film/video is ‘think ’.
Genre – film/video can be any genre (animation, documentary, drama, experimental, horror, comedy, etc.)
Length – maximum 5 minutes, including credits
Screening Format – digital video no longer than 5 minutes
Language – any language but must have English subtitles if not in English
Multiple entries are welcome
Copyright for all music and videos used must be owned by the filmmaker – that is, you must have permission to use all music, sound and/or artwork in your short film. By entering this competition, you agree that the KKIFF 2013 will not be held liable for any copyright infringements perpetrated by you or your short film.
The film you enter must have been completed on or after 9 June 2011.
To submit your entry, please follow these two steps:
- (a) Upload your entry (highest resolution possible) to YouTube http://www.youtube.com (creating an account is free)
- (b) Fill in the KKIFF 2013 think5 Entry Submission Form at https://www.kkiff.com/submit – with the link to your YouTube upload
Deadline for entries is 30^th April 2013.

When: Sunday, 9 June, 2013 from 2.30-4.00pm
Where: 14^th floor, Wisma Bandaraya
Who: All competition participants and anyone else who is interested
Why: To receive feedback on selected entries

think5 – awarding of prizes:

When: Sunday, 9 June, 2012 at 7.30pm
Where: 14^th floor, Wisma Bandaraya

Special notes:

Anyone linked to the organization of the KKIFF 2013 cannot enter this competition.
Entries must not have been broadcast on television before.

Only a selection of entries will be shown at the think5 workshop – that is, not all submissions will be screened at the workshop. Selection of entries will be at the judges’ discretion. No discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
