KKIFF 2012 “Links5” – Filmmakers’ Competition & Highlight Screening
Theme: ‘links‘
1st Prize: RM5000
2nd Prize: RM2000
3rd Prize: RM1000
Rules & Regulations
1. This competition is open to all.
2. Free to enter this competition.
3. Storyline – The theme for the film/video is ‘links‘ (Any interpretation of ‘links’ in your own creative understanding).
4. Genre – Film/video can be any genre (animation, documentary, drama, experimental, horror, comedy, etc.)
5. Length – Maximum 5 minutes.
6. Screening Format – Digital video.
7. Language – Any language, with English subtitles.
8. One entry per person/group only.
9. Copyright for all music and videos used must be owned by the filmmaker – that is, you must have permission to use all music and artwork in your movie.
10. To submit your entry, please follow these 2 steps:
A. Upload your entry (highest resolution possible) to YouTube http://www.youtube.com (creating an account is free).
B. Fill in the KKIFF 2012 Links5 Entry Submission Form at https://www.kkiff.com/submit
11. Additional promotional stills and/or posters, and any other supporting materials are welcomed to be emailed to be@www.kkiff.com
12. Deadline for entries is 09 MAY 2012. No extension will be given.

KKIFF 2012 “Links5” – Highlight Screening:
When: Saturday, 9 June, 2012, 01:00pm to 02:30pm
Where: Novotel, 1Borneo
Who: All competition participants and anyone else who is interested
Why: To receive feedback on selected entries from filmmaking
professionals
KKIFF 2012 “Links5” – Awarding of prizes:
When: Saturday, 9 June, 2012, at 08:50pm (after the screening of KKIFF Movie NIght Day Two)
Where: Novotel 1Borneo
Special notes:
1. Anyone linked to the organization of the KKIFF 2012 cannot enter this competition.
2. Entries must not have been broadcast on television before.
3. Only a selection of entries will be shown at the KKIFF 2012 “Links5” Highlight Screening – that is, not all submissions will be screened at the Highlight Screening session. Selection of entries will be at the judges’ discretion. No discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
4. The decision of KKIFF 2012 on all matters relating to the Competition shall be final and binding.
