Kok Siew Wai, Festival Director of the Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film and Video Festival, is the curator of this selection of short movies and has already presented this particular program in Penang, Bangkok and Berlin.
Siew Wai writes: Although world cinema today is dominated by narrative films, experimental film & video has a history that is as significant. However, it is less known and understood, especially in this region. I’m keen to introduce this fringe area of cinema as I believe that the beauty of art is due to its diversity and inclusiveness of various voices and expressions.
