The KKIFF is proud to present its jury for the Zoom10…again Filmmakers’ Competition.
They are currently hard at work judging the submissions for the filmmakers’ competition from this year. We are also including the submissions from 2020, as we postponed last year’s competition to 2021.
Our jury include Hassan Muthalib and Amanda Nell Eu. Hassan is an old friend of the KKIFF and has been involved in our filmmakers’ competition for many years. However, the KKIFF welcomes Amanda to join the jury for the first time.
Hassan has been on many local and international film festival juries. He has also directed animation and live films and is well-known as a trainer and mentor for film and animation students. He most recently won the Merdeka Award for his contribution to the nation in the category of Education and Community. He is currently working on his third book about the history of Filem Negara Malaysia.
Amanda has directed award-winning short films that have been screened at international film festivals. She is an alumna from Berlinale Talents Campus, as well as Locarno Filmmakers Academy. She is currently working on her first feature film Tiger Stripes, set in Malaysia.
