One of Brazil’s most successful movies in the last twenty years tells the true story of Francisco, a simple, poor farmer whose dream is to turn two of his children, Mirosmar and Emival, into a famous country duo. Overcoming countless setbacks, a manager is able to regionally promote the two boys until a tragic accident brings their career to a halt. Years later, Mirosmar becomes Zezé di Camargo, but fame only comes along when his brother Welson joins him as the perfect partner to fulfil their father’s dream. Their song “É o Amor” (It’s Love) was released in 1990 and sold over a million records.
