Exclusive workshop for local filmmakers to meet, share experiences and discuss filmmaking techniques with Sundance Institute’s BirdRunningwater during Borneo Eco Film Festival 2015.
Who: Bird Runningwater is the Institute’s Native American and Indigenous Program Director and will be making his first appearance in Sabah. He will share his experience and knowledge on indigenous and community filmmaking.
Born of the Cheyenne and Mescalero Apache people, Runningwater was raised on the Mescalero Apache Reservation in New Mexico. As programmer for Native American Initiatives at the Sundance Institute, he works with Native screenwriters on the development of their scripts.
Runningwater will also be introducing selected short films from the Sundance Film Festival on the 2nd and 3rd of October.
